About the event
We invite you to join us for the exciting return of our Summer Solstice Sound Bath at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff—your opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the pure magic of this moment, which only happens once a year, on our historic lakeside property.
It is believed that Frank Lloyd Wright, whose deep love for the natural world inspired so much of his architectural approach, intentionally designed the corner window in the "view room" of the main house at Graycliff to perfectly frame the setting sun on the the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice. This special time, that heralds the change of seasons, and the gradual shortening of days, has been celebrated by many cultures all throughout time.
These are intense times on the planet, and many people are tired and weary, their nervous systems in need of deep rest and tending. Sound has a tremendous effect on the central nervous system, helping it to unwind and facilitating healing. Let the acoustics of the crystal bowls, drums, chimes, and vocals, along with the gorgeous backdrop of our historic site, help you ground on the longest day of the year. This special 90-minute workshop will feature a full sound bath, with some gentle yoga and stretching, as well as a deep restorative meditation. Now is the time to relax and go inward. Led by Sara Rodriguez (aka Saranaide) and Megan Callahan, Founder of Heart Song Healing.
The sound bath will begin promptly at 4:30pm, but participants are welcome to arrive at 4:00pm, linger in the historic gardens and grounds and get settled.
**Please note there are two sound bath events, so if coordinating with others, make sure to coordinate whether you are at the earlier (4:00pm or later event, 6:30pm)
