Meet Megan
Energy Work & Earth Medicine
Megan is a long term practitioner and teacher of yoga, an embodiment coach, energy and earth medicine practitioner and teacher, grief tender, sound healing practitioner and voice teacher, writer, mother, music maker & theatre/voiceover artist and educator. She officiates ceremonies upon request, among them weddings, mother blessings, baby blessings, home blessings, repair rituals and funerals. She is currently part of the founding faculty of Western New York's first MFA program in Acting at D'Youville University.
She found her way to both yoga and energy work as a young teen ago to help with a serious physical condition, and continues to be amazed and humbled by what is discovered on and off the mat, and works to deeply honor the lineage from which these practices emerged, and to help the practice become more accessible to all people seeking liberation and self-actualization, and to support how people can show up in service with a balanced heart during these critical times. She has been teaching various forms of yoga, somatic movement and meditation since 2003 and is the founder and former director of The Yoga Parkside Foundation, a nonprofit yoga studio in Buffalo, New York. She also has extensive learning and experience in mediation, space holding, conflict resolution and non violent communication. This weaves into all aspects of her work, helping people to feel deeply heard.
